Under the mentorship of one of our clinical or basic science research faculty, fellows engage in scholarly work with the objective of presenting original work at a regional or national meeting and submitting at least one manuscript for publication in a peer-reviewed journal.  During this process, fellows gain experience in:

  • Principles of design, conduct, and analysis of research protocols.
  • Preparation of applications for grant support and IRB applications.
  • Preparation of manuscripts for presentation and publication, including case reports, original articles and book chapters (in conjunction with mentoring faculty).
