Summer Research Program 2006

Andrew Palacios was in the SRP in 2006 and worked in Dr. Michel Saint-Cyr's lab. He graduated from Townview Health Professions in 2007 and is currently an undergrad at UT Arlington. he presented his research at the recent 2009 SACNAS National Conference which is geared toward advancing hispanics/chicanos and native americans in science.

Andrew won first out of 702 undergrads in Environmental Sciences. The title of his research was "ECOLOGY OF A TOXIC ALGAL SPECIES: GROWTH OF PRYMNESIUM PARVUM IN DIFFERENT WATER MEDIA." There was recognition and a small cash prize.
