Jan. 28, 2008 - Tejas Shah, M.D., Pediatric Cardiologist

For our January meeting on the 28th, the Explorers Post went to Children’s Hospital to meet with Tejas Shah, M.D., a Pediatric Cardiology Fellow.  He talked about Pediatric Cardiology and medicine in general.  He gave us a tour of the Heart Center and even gave a demonstration on how an echocardiogram is done, on one of our Post members!! An echocardiogram is a test in which ultrasound is used to examine the heart. It measures the electrical activity of the heart.  It can also show abnormal heart rhythms and indicate whether the heart is under stress.
