For our August post meeting, Joel Goodman, Ph.D. and Dung Mac came to speak with the group. Mr. Mac spoke about his experiences on what to expect from colleges and how to get a bachelors degree.  He told us that the first year we should expect to be performing an abundance of experiments with the guide of a teacher.  In the second year, you start to become more of an "independent thinker".  Dr. Goodman spoke to us about his research on peroxisomes using yeast.
