The Department Clinical Sciences is seeking an Associate Professor/Professor.

The Department Clinical Sciences is the nation's first department-level initiative within a medical school dedicated to the development and growth of clinical research.  The Department is seeking biostatisticians to join an existing group of 9 faculty, which will grow to 15-20 faculty within the next 2-3 years.  The mission of the Department is to engage in collaborative research with clinical and basic research scientists throughout the Medical Center and to conduct scholarly research on biostatistical methodology motivated by the collaborative research activities.  Areas of research focus include statistical genetics, genomics and proteomics, clinical trials, longitudinal data analysis, cancer treatment, epidemiology and health outcomes research.

We are seeking colleagues with excellent written and verbal communication skills, and an interest in developing and applying statistical methods to important problems in a variety of medical/scientific specialties.  Additional duties may include preparing/teaching seminars/courses in our graduate program in Clinical Science.  Faculty rank is dependent on qualifications.  Applicants for this position should have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or related quantitative field with 3-5 years of experience in planning and analysis.  Applications will be reviewed until the positions are filled.  Please send letter of interest, curriculum vitae, and the names of three references to:
