Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center in cooperation with the Department of Clinical Sciences at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas have excellent employment opportunities for one or more self-motivated individuals with a minimum of 3 years of experience as a biostatistician.
Required qualifications:
- MS degree in biostatistics or related discipline, or MPH with a concentration on biostatistics
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in biomedical or health care environment
- Effective working knowledge of SAS and Microsoft Office (particularly, Access and Excel)
- Ability to restructure and create SAS data sets using SAS DATA statements; to perform general linear model analysis and basic sample size calculations
- Ability to effectively convey interpretations of analysis results (oral and written)
Desirable qualifications:
- Familiarity with S-plus
- Experience with some of the following SAS procedures: MIXED, GENMOD, NLMIXED, LIFETEST, LIFEREG, PHREG
- Experience with relational databases
- Experience with microarray analysis
