The Bioinstrumentation Resource Center supports the research, teaching, and other activities of the University and Medical Center by: 

• Providing capable and economical maintenance and repair of instruments and equipment. 
• Providing consultation, design, and fabrication for instrumentation and laboratory automation needs. 
• Providing support for computer hardware and software interfacing to instruments for laboratory automation and experimental data collection. 
• Serving as a center of expertise and exchange of information on instrumentation technology, materials, and bioengineering applications. 
• Support the mission, goals, policies, and regulations of the University, State, Public, and research community by maintaining a high level of awareness and commitment to the goals of the wider society which the Center serves
