The Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas has established a unique aesthetic fellowship with a focused one year experience fully devoted to all aspects of cosmetic surgery under the direction of Dr. Fritz Barton and Dr. Steve Byrd.  The fellow will have responsibility for independent practice of cosmetic surgery on patients with faculty consultation.  The fellowship will provide a comprehensive transitional year with graduated responsibility before entering independent practice.  The fellow will have comprehensive independent management of all aspects of cosmetic plastic surgery with intense involvement by national leaders in plastic surgery from the Department of Plastic Surgery at UT Southwestern Medical Center and the Dallas community. Applicants must have, or obtain prior to commencing the fellowship, a Texas medical license, hospital privileges at various private hospital, and be BC/BE in Plastic Surgery.  (Faculty advisors will include Fritz E.
