Professional Experience:
Curtis Jackson's professional experience involves developing and coordinating the implementation of intervention techniques designed to alter high-risk behavior. In addition, his responsibilities include curriculum development for small multi-session, high-risk groups, and providing training nationally to other health care professionals in the area of community level intervention and community assessment. Curtis also facilitates "Boys to Men", an on-going group designed to explore issues of importance for high risk minority adolescents between the ages of 15 to 21 with the goal of steering them away from or out of the criminal justice system and developing healthier lifestyles. He has 30 years experience in conducting behavioral interventions and trainings on assessments covering the United States.
Fun Facts:
Curtis has a strong interest in intervention development and evaluation in Africa.

Worked as coordinator for the City of New Orleans CDC sponsored KNOW NOW!HIV Testing and Social Marketing campaign 2001-2002.

Professional experience includes conducting formative assessments, behavioral surveillance and ethnography within various at-risk communities in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area; primarily among injection drug-users, qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis, community assessment, and coordination of meetings for the Texas HIV prevention Community Planning Group.
Fun Facts:
Post-graduate work involved working with land mine removal and fundraising organizations in Dallas and travel to Cambodia. His favorite activities include spending time with his wife and son, travel and cycling.

Rudy Garcia

Professional Experience:
Rudy has approximately 31 years of experience in the area of STDs/HIV/AIDS. He worked as a STD specialist instructor/trainer for 11 years with the Dallas County Health Department. Rudy has worked as health educator, trainer/instructor for N.I.D.A., the American Red Cross (English and Spanish), and the Training Center approximately 20 years. He has developed a male health curriculum for incarcerated youth, and co-created The Male Connection. His focus areas are youth, and the adult minority population. He is bilingual (Spanish), bicultural, and has worked with the Native American communities.

As an Educator with the Out-of-Care Project, Ester is assigned the task of locating persons who have fallen out of care services within the Parkland Health & Hospital System. She also has experience in working with troubled teens through the Dallas County Advocate Center and the Journey Counseling Center.
Fun Facts:
As an ordained Minister of The Gospel, Ester works with the homeless, the elderly, and people infected/affected with HIV/AIDS. Ester and her husband love to take spur of the moment trips, and raise their five grandchildren.

Current Job description -Clara works in collaboration with Dallas Access Network as a Youth Angel Coordinator. She coordinates and supports a comprehensive system of care for HIV positive and high risk youth ages 13-24 in Dallas, TX.
She has gained over 11 years of experience by working at The NO/AIDS Task Force in New Orleans, LA in the areas of Outreach, Social Security Enrollment, Case Management and as a Lead Prevention Case Manager. Clara brings a rich and diverse background to EduCAPE where she has been instrumental working with issues on HIV/AIDS in both community and clinical settings.

Married with two beautiful girls Allyson 5yrs and Catherine 2yrs.
