The Division of Cerebrovascular Diseases, as part of the Mobility Foundation Center, provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment for complex cerebrovascular disorders (ischemic and hemorrhagic stroke, Moya-Moya disease, vasculitis, stroke due to hypercoaguable states and genetic disorders, etc.). State of the art imaging techniques through Zale-Lipshy University Hospital and UT Southwestern Medical Center include carotid and transcranial doppler, computed tomography angiography, 3-D rotational angiography, high field magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and magnetic resonance perfusion, and single photon emission computer tomography (SPECT). A thorough evaluation allows us, in consultation with our neurovascular surgeons and interventional neuroradiologists, to provide a comprehensive plan for restorative treatment and prevention of recurrent stroke.
In addition, our active participation in multiple clinical research trials across all phases of stroke care--acute treatment, secondary prevention, and recovery/rehabilitation-- affords patients the opportunity to take part in cutting edge cerebrovascular medicine and impact the future of stroke care.
Patients are seen by physician referral only. To schedule an appointment, please call the Mobility Foundation Center Stroke Clinic at 214-648-8818 (Fax 214-648-8820).
