This an on-line Level I MRI Safety training that addresses safety concerns for personnel working in and around a MRI area. Employees are instructed on: MRI zones, fringe fields, missile effect, and quenching.
Training is required on an annual basis. To access MRI Safety training, please follow the instructions below.
- Log into IAim https://sws001.swmed.edu/iAim/login
- Click on Training located under Employee Management on the right hand side of the page.
- At the top of the page, click the Course Category tab.
- Click on Environmental Health and Safety
- Select MRI Training - for credit
Please complete the training and return your completed MRI Screening form and certificate to MRI Safety MC 9053 or fax to 214-645-8337. The screening form can be located in the training; click on the title Screening Form
This course is a prerequisite for Level II MRI operators.
