Specimen Requirements

1.  Cervical brush in Qiagen Digene hc2 DNA collection device (cervical brush and specimen transport medium).

Transport immediately at room temperature.  Sample stable for 2 weeks at room temperature, 3 weeks refrigerated and 3 months frozen.

2.  Thinprep® vial, minimum 4 mL

Transport at room temperature.  Sample stable for 2 weeks at room temperature and 3 weeks refrigerated.  Do not freeze.

Rejection Criteria
Samples not in Thinprep® or Qiagen Digene Transport Medium
Frozen Thinprep® samples
Samples not collected with Thinprep® or Qiagen Digene collection devices
