The goal of research in urologic oncology is to understand molecular mechanisms of the progression of both prostate and bladder cancers and to develop novel therapies targeting the specific defect of these malignancies. Currently, our main focuses are:
- Profiling genes involved in cancer development
- Defining signal defects in metastatic cancer cells
- Developing new gene therapeutic agents and regimens
