The educational program is structured around a core curriculum, repeated every two years. Weekly teaching conferences are attended by all residents and include: Resident Lecture Series; Grand Rounds; Uro-pathology and Pre-op conferences. Pediatric Conferences are held biweekly, while the Journal Club and Morbidity and Mortality Conference are held monthly. At least two visiting professors provide special conferences each year.
The faculty provides subspecialty expertise in the areas of pediatric urology, oncology, transplantation, prostate disease, stone disease, laparoscopy, incontinence, infertility, and impotence. Interactions with the faculty occur in all areas of the program: the operating room, clinics, inpatient wards, and conferences. Faculty members are sincerely concerned about the educational environment and work together to ensure an optimal experience for each resident.
