The Preventive Cardiology Clinic serves:

  • Children with Hyperlipidemia and Hypercholesterolemia: total cholesterol >170
  • Children with Metabolic Syndrome (i.e. obesity, insulin resistance, increased triglycerides, decreased high density lipoprotein, hypertension)

The clinic team consists of physicians, dietitians, and nurses.  There is a comprehensive physical assessment and dietary evaluation for each patient and their family, with the development of an individualized program including:

  • Diet
  • Life Style Modification
  • Treatments including natural as well as prescription medications
