The Pediatric Rheumatology Division offers consultation, evaluation, counseling and treatment for the rheumatic diseases of childhood.

Our clinical services are offered at Children's Medical Center by Katherine L. Madson, M.D. on Wednesdays.  Clinics are also held at Texas Scottish Rite Hospital (TSRH), 2222 Welborn Street, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.

Children's Medical Center of Dallas (CMC)

CMC has a new patient clinic held on Wednesday.  Patients 17 years and younger are seen by referral from the Primary Care Provider (PCP).  Those patients diagnosed with Juvenile Arthritis, Juvenile Dermatomyositis and Morphea/Scleroderma will be followed at the Texas Scottish Rite Rheumatology clinics.  Those who are diagnosed with a form of Vasculitis or with Lupus will be followed at CMC.

The child's medical home will remain with the PCP.  A summary of the new patient visit, results, diagnosis, and recommendations will be sent to the PCP and the family.  Since our pediatric rheumatology referral area is the northern half of Texas, we are easily accessible to the PCP for questions and concerns regarding their patients.

Texas Scottish Rite Hospital Arthritis Clinic (TSRH)

The Arthritis Clinic at TSRH is one of the longest established pediatric rheumatology clinics in the country and the major referral center for North Texas.  There are approximately 3,000 outpatient visits per year seen in three all day clinics per week and over 200 inpatient admissions per year.
