The Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine at UT Southwestern Medical Center have provided care for normal newborns and newborns with complex medical and surgical problems for more than 25 years.  Our facilities include the first and largest neonatal intensive care unit in north Texas. The University Neonatal Services faculty in the Department of Pediatrics of UT Southwestern Medical Center have contributed to a variety of major advances in the care of newborn infants, including surfactant replacement therapy, the use of steroids in bronchopulmonary dysplasia, the use of inhaled nitric oxide in persistent pulmonary hypertension, advances in nutrition for very-low-birth-weight infants, and improvements in diagnosis and treatment of neonatal infection. Our patients at Parkland Memorial Hospital benefit from the full spectrum of pediatric medical and surgical subspecialty services available at Children's Medical Center Dallas

For Consultation/Referrals/Transports, call the Parkland Memorial Hospital NICU at (214) 590-6500 or the Neonatology office at (214) 648-3903.
