The Division of General Pediatrics faculty at UT Southwestern Medical School provides both inpatient and outpatient care at Children's Medical Center Dallas with over 175 pediatricians, both academic and clinical faculty.  Along with clinical care, education and research are an important component of the Division's mission.  The General Pediatrics faculty staffs inpatient services, hospital services, adolescent medicine clinics, foster care program, Child at Risk (REACH) program, Resident Continuity clinics, Acute care clinics (First Care), Referral clinics, General Pediatric Consultation Program, and Medical Student Teaching Clinics.

The Division of General Pediatrics faculty has a major role in teaching both residents and medical students through the inpatient and outpatient programs, conferences, and lecture formats.  The clinical faculty supports teaching through the inpatient and outpatient services at Children's Medical Center Dallas and a private practice rotation for both medical students and residents.  The division participates in clinical and educational research, and supports other divisions in their research studies.
