Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Faculty 2007

The Division consists of neonatologists who are leaders in their areas of expertise and are committed to the education of postdoctoral trainees.  We also have a staff of pediatricians in our Division who serve the Normal Newborn Nursery.  Areas of interest and research include fetal and neonatal cardiovascular development and physiology, pulmonary vascular development and function, cerebral metabolism and ischemia, delivery room resuscitation, neonatal infection, and follow-up of the high-risk infant.  Since our program is closely integrated with the Departments of Biochemistry, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Cell Biology, and Neuroscience, additional research opportunities are available.
