Resident Education

Pediatric residents can spend a 2-4 week rotation on the renal service.  The goals of this elective is to give a more advanced education in renal physiology, fluids and electrolyte therapy, evaluation and treatment of hematuria, proteinuria, and chronic and acute renal failure.  Residents can elect to spend their mornings in the inpatient service evaluating consults, their afternoons in the outpatient renal clinic, or spend their entire elective in the renal clinic.
