Informative, up-to-date nutrition information, the latest Center for Human Nutrition research projects and world nutrition news headlines are just a few of the features available on the newly designed Center for Human Nutrition Web site. This site, launched last year at http://www2.swmed.edu/humannutrition, offers nutrition-education information for the general public and medical professionals.

"The original design was mainly targeted toward researchers," said Dr. Scott Grundy, director of the Center for Human Nutrition." Now we're bring the research and nutrition education together to target both the researcher and the general public. You should be able to come to our site and find anything about nutrition."

Other features of the Website include an overview of the center, its programs, faculty and facilities; current research topics; world nutrition Web sites; nutrition newsletters; and facts about dietary supplements."This site provides us with a new avenue in our efforts to generate factual and timely nutrition information," Grundy said. Two of the newest features on the site offer browsers a glimpse into a Mediterranean-style cookbook and a look at the latest clinical trials at the Center for Human Nutrition.

"This new design allows for easier navigation," said Mandi Wong R.D, who designed and maintains the Web site. She is a recent graduate of the Southwestern Allied Health Sciences School.
