Breathing (Pulmonary Neuromuscular) Disorders :: Patient Education Materials

About Our Program | Assessment of Pulmonary Function | Management of Pulmonary Insufficiency | Our Physicians | Our Services | Patient Education Materials | Support Groups and Resources

UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians take complex medical information about breathing disorders due to neuromuscular diseases and describe it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer patients access to educational materials that will help them to learn more about breathing disorders and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.

Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients approach their breathing disorders related to neurologic or musculoskeletal diseases. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after treatment.
