According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, at least one million Americans are believed to suffer from Parkinson’s disease, and about 50,000 new cases are reported each year. UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians and specialists have the expertise needed to provide effective rehabilitation programs for individuals with Parkinson’s disease, which is a progressive disease that involves nerve cells in the brain that help control a variety of functions, primarily muscle movement.
