Vertebroplasty is the primary treatment offered at UT Southwestern for osteoporosis and vertebral fracture pain. With vertebroplasty, the patient is sedated but awake and a UT Southwestern specialist injects a stabilizing material to repair the vertebral fracture and alleviate pain.
