Osteoporosis and Vertebral Fracture Pain :: About Our Program

About Our Program | Conditions and Illnesses | Our Physicians | Patient Education Materials | Support Groups and Resources

The pain management service at UT Southwestern Medical Center offers expert, compassionate care for patients with osteoporosis or vertebral fracture pain. Our program offers advanced and effective treatments to help relieve chronic pain, including minimally invasive procedures such as vertebroplasty. With this treatment, the patient is sedated but awake and a UT Southwestern specialist injects a stabilizing material to repair the vertebral fracture and alleviate pain.

UT Southwestern is one of the few pain management centers in Texas with on-site pain specialists, behavioral medicine specialists and physical therapists. Our program uses therapies derived from the latest scientific advances in pain management and our specialists utilize the least-invasive procedures available to diagnose and treat patients’ osteoporosis and vertebral fracture pain.

UT Southwestern’s comprehensive medical resources enable patients to have an initial consultation, testing, follow-up visits and any needed medical procedures all in one location.
