UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians take complex medical information about TMJ, facial pain and nerve injury and describe it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer patients access to educational materials that will help them to learn more about jaw and facial pain and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.
Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients approach TMJ, facial pain and nerve injury. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after treatment.
