High-risk Pregnancy and Genetics :: Patient Education Materials

About Our Program | Conditions and Illnesses | Maternal-Fetal Transport | Our Physicians | Patient Education Materials | Physician Profiles | Support Groups and Resources

UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians take complex medical information about high-risk pregnancy and genetics and describe it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer patients access to educational materials that will help them to learn more about high-risk pregnancy and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.

Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients approach maternal-fetal medicine. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after treatment.

Parents whose fetuses have been diagnosed with problems requiring pre-birth intervention may want to visit North American Fetal Network for information about advanced fetal therapeutic procedures. UT Southwestern is one of the participating medical centers in this network.
