Tam Truong, M.D.

Tam TruongDr. Tam Truong is an associate professor and chief of the comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology program at UT Southwestern. He is also medical director of the program's university practice.

Dr. Truong is originally from Vietnam and has resided in the Dallas area since 1975. He earned his medical degree from the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio and completed his residency at Methodist Medical Center and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas. He is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons.

Dr. Truong has brought an infectious energy to the group's practice since joining UT Southwestern in 1991. As the father of five, he knows that each pregnancy - like each child - is different. He is committed to promoting good health, longevity and well being for each of his patients.

Xercerla Littles, M.D.

Xercerla LittlesDr. Xercerla Littles is an assistant professor at UT Southwestern Medical Center. She received her medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, where she was named chief resident.

Dr. Littles is a diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecology and Texas Association of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She serves on the medical advisory board for the African American Breast Cancer Outreach Project and is on the board of directors of the Hope for Children Foundation.

As well as providing comprehensive care to mothers and their unborn children, Dr. Littles is dedicated to improving the quality of health for women of all ages. She chose obstetrics and gynecology as a specialty because it allowed her to form fulfilling and lasting relationships with her patients during all phases of life. She enjoys educating patients of all ages about women's health issues, and believes that an ounce of prevention is truly worth a pound of cure.

Frances Rosenbaum, M.D.

Dr. Francis RosenbaumAfter completing residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at UT Southwestern and Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Dr. Frances Rosenbaum joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as an assistant professor in 2008.

She received her bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Texas at Austin and was awarded a medical degree in 2004 by The University of Texas Southwestern Medical School at Dallas.

Dr. Rosenbaum is fluent in English and Spanish. Like the other specialists in comprehensive obstetrics and gynecology, she believes in establishing long-term relationships with her patients and provides obstetrical, gynecological, and well-woman care to women of all ages. Her primary interests are in treating adolescents and young adults and prenatal care.

Dr. Rosenbaum is co-author of a chapter in The Parkland Trauma Handbook, “Trauma in the Pregnant Patient”.
