UT Southwestern Medical Center translates complex medical information surrounding cardiovascular disease and describes it to patients in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer access to educational materials that will help patients learn more about heart disease, its diagnosis and treatment, and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.

Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients approach medical treatment for cardiovascular disease. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after their diagnosis and treatment, and also to explore any possible follow-up treatments that might be needed.
