UT Southwestern Medical Center physicians take complex medical information about pediatric ophthalmology and describe it to patients and their families in easy-to-understand terms. In addition, we also offer patients access to educational materials that will help them to learn more about pediatric eye conditions and why they are candidates for the treatment prescribed.
Patient education can make a significant difference in how patients and their families approach pediatric eye conditions. In addition to access to UT Southwestern’s health-care professionals, patients may consult other educational materials to better understand what to expect before, during and after treatment.
