Gynecologic cancer is a group of cancers that affect tissues and organs of the female reproductive system. The most common and serious gynecologic malignancies include cancers of the cervix, endometrium, fallopian tubes, ovaries, uterus and vagina. Although they are referred to as a group, each type of cancer has significant differences in origin, prevention, detection, treatment and likelihood of cure.
UT Southwestern Medical Center’s physicians and researchers have access to the latest scientific findings and treatments for gynecologic cancers, including:
- Cervical cancer
- Endometrial cancer
- Ovarian cancer
