Following an initial evaluation of the adolescent's depression and physical health, the adolescent will be enrolled by random assignment into either a stretch or exercise group. Treatment will consist of 12 weeks of exercise or stretching 3-4 times a week. The first visit of the week will be with a trainer at The Cooper Institute. Weekly measurements of depressive symptoms will occur. The adolescent will receive compensation for the weekly visits attended and each follow up visit they attend. |
