| Purpose of the Study: |
Assess the effectiveness of intravitreal (ITV) administered VEGF(Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) Trap-Eye compared to ranibizumab (Lucentis) in preventing moderate vision loss in patients with neovascular (wet) AMD. The primary endpoint of this study is to prevent vision loss of greater than or equal to 15 letters on the Early Treatment Diabetic Retinopathy Study (ETDRS) chart when compared to baseline at 52 weeks. |
| Participant Eligibility: |
Major Inclusion:
Participants 50 years of age and older.
Evidence of Macular Degeneration as specified by the study protocol and confirmed by study doctor.
