Study Title: Identifying Phenotypes for Nicotine Dependence in Youth--Clone Created

Purpose of the Study: The purpose of this research is to better understand brain functioning, specifically visual and hearing problems, and to assess whether these problems are affected by depression and nicotine use.
Participant Eligibility: 1. Between 12 years and 21 years. 2. Speak and read English (at least at the 6th grade reading level). However, subjects whose parents do not read or speak English will be accepted into the study. In such cases, a bilingual person prior to signing the consent form will interpret the entire study procedure, including the informed consent form, for them. Parents who are not fluent in English or Spanish will not be invited to participate in the study. 3. Medication free (except acetaminophen) for at least two weeks (6 weeks for fluoxetine) prior to the fMRI studies at the baseline phase. 4. Only youth who are not on psychotropic medication at the time of initial screening will be recruited into the study.
