| Purpose of the Study: |
To see if Rimonabant can help lower the chances of having a heart attack, a stroke, or of dying from a heart attack or stroke. |
| Participant Eligibility: |
Women or men aged 55 or over, presence of abdominal obesity, presence of MI in past 3 years, heart surgery with continued chest pain, stroke in past 3 years, or peripheral arterial disease. |
| Disease/Condition Under Study: |
Coronary heart disease and Cerebrovascular disease. |
