 RESEARCH OVERVIEW

Dr. Huang’s research interest is to use magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), especially diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) technology, to study the structures of brain and apply the structural information to answer various types of biological questions. For clinical studies, physical parameters and tractography derived from DTI are used to quantitatively characterize abnormality of brains with neurological and psychiatric diseases. High resolution is pushed for animal imaging at high magnetic field to obtain both macro- and micro- structural information which can be used to detect morphological difference of animals with pathological models.

 RESEARCH INTERESTS

Diffusion tensor magnetic resonance imaging (DT-MRI)
Animal MRI
DTI based tractography
Pulse sequence development
