"I am interested in both basic and applied scientific studies of the human larynx at many different levels. In particular, we are primarily interested in vocal fold tissue mechanics and its relationships with voice acoustics and laryngeal physiology. Our research areas also include biorheology and biomaterials with applications to phonosurgery, and tissue engineering of the vocal fold. Our laboratory projects involve the use of animal models, physical models and computer models of the larynx."
