Dr. Sreenarasimhaiah completed an accelerated combined six-year baccalaureate/M.D. degree program at the University of Missouri - Kansas City School of Medicine, graduating with distinction in 1996. He continued his training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri, where he completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in gastroenterology. His previous research interests have included comparison of diagnostic modalities in acute lower gastrointestinal bleeding. Currently, clinical and research interests include endoscopic ultrasound particularly for diagnosis and staging of gastrointestinal and pancreatic cancers and pancreatic cysts as well as potential therapeutic applications. Additional research includes endoscopic therapy for varices and pheresis therapy for inflammatory bowel disease. He is also very involved in the training of fellows in his role as Associate Director of Fellowship Training Program in Gastroenterology.
