PERSONAL OVERVIEW
Adebola O. Adesanya, MB., MPH is Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Internal Medicine at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He received his MBBS from University of Lagos, Nigeria and an MPH degree from the University of Texas School of Public Health at Houston. He completed an Internal Medicine and Anesthesiology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas followed by a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine, Rochester, Minnesota. He is board certified in Anesthesiology, Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Adesanya’s research focuses on perioperative care of surgical patients including properative optimization and postoperative care. His other interests include quality improvement in the intensive care unit and the economics of intensive care delivery. Dr. Adesanya is a dedicated teacher and was recognized when he received the Dennis F. Landers Faculty Teaching Award from the housestaff of the UTSW Anesthesiology Residency Program in 2005. He has also recently served as Treasurer/Secretary and President of the Dallas County Anesthesia Society.
