Dr. Wolff obtained his undergraduate degree in Biology at Brown University in 1979. He went on to obtain his medical degree at U.T. Southwestern in 1983. Dr. Wolff did his internship and residency training at Baylor College of Medicine, completing it in 1987.
Dr. Wolff joined the U.T. Southwestern Faculty in 1987. Dr. Wolff?s clinical expertise is in the area(s) of adult outpatient psychiatry, suicide, and student mental health. Currently, Dr. Wolff serves as the assistant medical director at the Parkland Psychiatry Outpatient Clinic and is an associate professor of psychiatry. In addition, he is a staff psychiatrist at U.T. Southwestern Medical Center Student Health Services. Dr. Wolff is a lecturer and course coordinator for the third year medical student psychiatry clerkship. He is an associate residency training director for the department.
Dr. Wolff?s research participation has been in the area(s) of novel antipsychotics, suicide, and electroconvulsive therapy.
Dr. Wolff has been honored by receiving the following awards: American Psychiatric Association Distinguished Fellow and Exemplary Psychiatrist Award from the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill. In addition, Dr. Wolff is active in the North Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians (past president)and the Texas Society of Psychiatric Physicians. Dr. Wolff is a past president of the U.T. Southwestern Medical School Faculty Senate.
