Dr. Brown is a Professor at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. He specializes in pediatric otolaryngology/head and neck surgery and is Co-director of Service at Children's Medical Center of Dallas. Dr. Brown received his Doctorate of Medicine from University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas, and did his speciality training in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the same institution.
He is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology and is a member of the American College of Surgeons, and the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Brown is a charter member of the American Society of Pediatric Otolaryngology and is a member of other societies, including the American Broncho-esophogological Association, the Society of University Otolaryngologists and is a Past-President of the Society for Ear, Nose, and Throat Advances in Children. Dr. Brown is an author of 70 scientific publications, and has been involved in research on ear disease and drug evaluations in pediatric otorhinolaryngology. Dr. Brown has a particular interest in choanal atresia and pediatric nasal malformations, and has taught courses on these areas and pediatric sinus surgery at the American Academy of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery. Dr. Brown is on the Editorial Board of the International Journal of Pediatric Otorhinolaryngology. Dr. Brown also has interests in pediatric ear disease and pediatric airway surgery and reconstruction.
