U.S. immigration law requires that non-immigrants carry their passports with them. However, because of the potential to lose the passport we recommend that while in the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex, you simply carry a copy of the identity/validity pages of your passport. However, if you are traveling outside of the metroplex, you should carry your passport and visa documents (I-20, DS-2019, etc.)
